    Button Bouquet

    button bouquet craft

This button bouquet craft was a fun quick little project that's great for kids. It would also be a perfect Mother's Day gift!

    Step 1:

The first thing that we did was decide on a color palette for our button bouquet. We decided that the flowers were going to be mainly pink with a little baby blue and brown with brown and navy accents. We went through the entire bag of buttons and started to pick out buttons of those colors. Slowly we started to pair a large, medium and small button together, but we thought that was too small of a stack, so we decided we needed 5 buttons to make a decent sized flower. This step actually took the longest.

    Step 2:

Once we had our little button flower piles, it was time to use our stem wire to make our flowers. You place all the buttons on the wire and slide them about 3/4 of the way down the wire.

    Step 3:

Bend the wire back onto itself halfway so that when you twist the stem together, it will line up at the bottom. Then thread it through the opposite button hole lining up the ends of the wire so that the buttons are exactly half way on the wire.

    Step 4:

Then all you do is twist the stems together and you have your first flower. Repeat until you have enough flowers to fit whatever container you are using.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as we did! Button bouquets can be as simple or as complicated as you want them to be. Check out all the images on Pinterest!
