Happy new year to all my crafty friends out there in computer land! We made it through 2015 – that deserves high fives all around. Go us!
2016 has some major changes in store for me here at Nearly Crafty…but you will have to wait a few months to learn those details. In the meantime, I have decided to try another 52 week crafting challenge this year. Two years ago I did Fumbling Fridays, where I picked a new crafting form each month and debuted a new project in that genre every week. I loved that challenge and it really forced me to explore crafting methods I had never considered before (hello felting.) The downside of that challenge was the time commitment – researching methods, getting supplies, etc. It was a ton of work.
This year I am going with a more simple 52 week challenge – making earrings. I went through all my past projects and the DIY earring crafts were the posts that the most people were pumped about. Usually, people wanted me to make them duplicates of what I had made, but I’m hoping that by dedicating 52 projects to earrings, people will be inspired to try to make them on their own. Remember – everyone can craft!
If you despise earrings, don’t freak out – I will totally be doing my normal DIY projects as well. There will be plenty of making happening for all of you!
